Teaching Respect for the Comfort and Convenience of Others

This is the mission behind all we teach at The Civility School. 

Whether it is through Modern Manners classes offered to ages 5-13, Jefferson Cotillion seasons available to sixth through ninth graders, one-on-one Prove It sessions for high schoolers preparing for academic admissions and athletic recruiting interviews, or Professional Civility seminars for organizations and businesses, our focus is on civil human engagement. Discovering and displaying the best of one’s self is good for you and for the world.

Classes are open to all. Financial assistance and military discount are available.

Headquarters located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

We teach courteous habits, empathetic intention, and cultural awareness.

Students of all ages, businesses, and non-profit organizations learn and practice highly nuanced social skills that provide a foundation of civility capable of guiding them through the global terrain of changing rules and customs. It is often said the good “etiquette” is a moving target. Make sure you have the right arrows in your quiver.
